web design

Anyone can build themselves a basic website, but it takes skill and expertise to build something truly special, to reflect the true quality of your business.

I can help your business grow by building a website that complements your brand and distinguishes from your competitors.

I understand that creating and maintaining a website can be a frustrating and complicated experience.

Whatever it is that you’re looking for, I’ll work out the best structure, design and way forward. Before you know it you’ll be online with the beautiful new website you’ve dreamed of.

It’s impossible to put a number on a project we haven’t discussed, but I also appreciate the importance of a budget.

I want to be as transparent as possible, so let’s make a deal. I’ll give you a few examples, but don’t hold me to them! Each project is different and will require different things, so it’s impossible to give a final figure until we’ve talked things through.

Example One – from £1,2000
A simple starter website, perfect for artists or photographers wanting an online portfolio, solo freelancers and new businesses.

Example Two – from £1,950
A larger website with e-commerce or whatever other advanced functionality you need, perfect for creatives wanting to sell their work, shops, boutiques, service based businesses and start-ups.

WordPress powers nearly one-third of the world’s websites, from small personal blogs to the complex sites. It’s flexible, adaptable, powerful and free. With WordPress, anything is possible. From e-commerce to booking systems, portfolios to blogs. There are no limits.

I understand this can be a big investment for your business, so I’ve built my payment terms to take that into account.

To book your job in with me, I’ll ask for a deposit up front. This is usually around 30% of the total quoted.

On bigger sites I may ask you to pay an additional 30% part way through the project (this will be detailed in your proposal).

The final payment is then due within 15 days of your new website launching.

I am not VAT registered so there is no VAT to pay on my prices; this is definitely a benefit of hiring a freelancer rather than a big agency!

Great! If you’re reading this it sounds like you’re ready to get started on your new website!

All you need to do is drop me an email and I’ll handle things from there.

  1. Discovery
I’ll get in tough to arrange a meeting or call to let us discuss your project in more detail and give me an opportunity to understand your business and your requirements a little better. This can also be done through email or web forms if you’d rather. From here I can build a website proposal for you, outlining what we’ve discussed, how I can help and your project quote.

  2. Preparation and Client Homework
Once you’re ready to go ahead, I ask for a deposit up front to book your work in. Once this is paid, I’ll send out a welcome pack which includes all details of your project, your contract and plenty to help you get ready for your new website. This includes gathering text, images and content, getting to the detail of your website as well as some info on target audience, USP, design preferences and any specific details you’d like to see.

  3. Template design
I’ll send you an initial template design / mockup for you to look at. Things won’t be perfect at this stage, but it’ll let you get an idea for what your finished website might look like. Your feedback here will let me crack on building your site, this is the stage that’s likely to take the longest, but I promise you it’ll be worth it.

  4. Feedback – Design – Feedback – Design
Once the site is nearing completion, I’ll send you an invite to come in and have a look. This is where you can really get down to the details and let me know any feedback you have. We’ll keep working like this until you’re completely happy.

  5. Launch
This bit doesn’t need much explanation, does it? Once you’re completely happy with your new site we’ll launch it to the world. I can advise on some launch strategies to help your site have maximum impact.

  6. Handover or Ongoing Support
At this stage, I can either hand over completely and leave any edits or trouble shooting up to you, or for a fixed monthly cost you can have me on hand to help keep your site up to date and secure, as well as fix any problems or issues that may crop up in the future.

Absolutely! I’m a competent writer myself and I also work with a number of professional wordsmiths. Just let me know if this is something you’d like building into your quote.

Every website I create is delivered ready to be fully handed over to you. I’ll make sure you’ve got detailed instructions on how to update and maintain you website.

But if that doesn’t sound like it’s your cup of tea, I also offer ongoing, monthly support packages.

If you like everything you’ve seen and read so far… how’s the perfect time to get in touch and talk about your project. Drop me a message here or an email with your idea and we can take it from there.
