What we're doing

We’re doing our best to work towards a more sustainable future for our planet and its people. We’re not perfect, but we’re trying as hard as we can. We’re still at the beginning of our journey and we’re learning and developing every day.

But, we’re not going to let the fear of imperfection or the rise of green-hushing hold us back. So, these are just some of the environmental and social strategies that help us create a more positive impact.

For the planet

  • We are a 100% virtual business with no physical office or premises.
  • We try to keep everything digital, but where only paper will do, we make sure it’s recycled and recyclable.
  • We are reducing our consumption - only buying products that are absolutely necessary, taking the best care of our equipment so it lasts as long as possible and buying (or selling) second-hand where possible.
  • Our home working space is powered by 100% renewable energy and has been optimised for efficiency.
  • We rarely travel to meetings, opting for phone or video calls where possible.
  • We’re measuring our Carbon Footprint each year and taking big steps to reduce our emissions personally and as a business.
  • We host all of our own sites, client sites and staging sites on servers powered by 100% renewable energy.
  • We’ve signed and pledged with The Sustainable Web Design Manifesto and The Sustainable Creative Charter.
  • We’ve committed to halving our emissions by 2030 and cutting emissions to zero by 2050 through a pledge with the SME Climate hub (although we hope to exceed both of those targets).
  • We are a Climate Positive Workforce through our partnership with Ecologi, whereby we support positive climate action projects as well as planting trees around the world.

For people

  • We respect your privacy. Wherever possible we will limit the use of tracking technology and cookies - unless they really are needed.
  • We only work with people who's values that align with our own and we’ll always pay contractors a fair fee for their work.
  • We work flexibly around our family and respect that our partners and clients may do the same. We’re open to having meetings at any time of day and children are always welcome to join!
  • We try to build all of our websites in an accessible and inclusive way, so they work for every user.
  • We’re honest and like to keep things simple.
