For the planet

  • We are a 100% virtual business with no physical office or premises.
  • We keep things digital wherever possible.
  • We buy less and buy better: choosing only what’s essential, caring for equipment to extend its life, and buying or reselling second-hand where we can.
  • Our home workspaces are powered by 100% renewable energy and set up for energy efficiency.
  • We minimise travel and meet online whenever we can.
  • We measure our carbon footprint annually and are taking steps to steadily reduce it — personally and as a business.
  • All Sproutworks and client websites we host run on servers using 100% renewable energy.
  • We’ve signed the Sustainable Web Design Manifesto and the Sustainable Creative Charter.
  • We’re a Climate Positive Workforce through Ecologi, supporting climate projects and planting trees around the world.
  • We opt for dark mode on all our devices and wherever possible, to reduce our energy consumtion.

For people

  • We respect your privacy. We limit the use of tracking tech and cookies to what’s genuinely needed — no data-grabbing for the sake of it.
  • We choose to work with people whose values align with ours, and we always pay contractors fairly for their time and talent.
  • We work flexibly and family-first, and we respect that our clients and partners may do the same. Meetings can happen at times that suit real life — children and interruptions welcome.
  • We build every website to be accessible and inclusive, so they work for as many people as possible.
  • We value honesty, clarity and simplicity — in our work, our communication, and how we show up.
  • We use a pension plan that's fossil fuel free and bank with Starling, a reponsible bank.
